Does anyone own these? I have heard horror stories about non-traded REITS and the fact that statements show a $10 valuation all the time. I also heard that as of April 1 2010 there is a new law in place that states these REITS have to be marked to market in terms of a "real" valuation. How does Lerner think they are going to give people back their $ at par if they value these correctly after the bludgeoning the real estate market has taken?
