David Gilmoure or Roger Waters which of them made Pink Floyd who they are today?

Both of them have contributed lyrically to Pink Floyd, But in my opinion David Gilmoure by far completes Pink Floyd instrumentally. Where as Roger Waters added greatness to all visual's in every concert.
Yet both of them contributed to each and every idea of what is Pink Floyd.
