IT HAS BEEN HELL!
When I went to davids bridal I tried on the wedding dress that i wanted in another size other than my own, because they didnt have it. In order for me to try on the wedding dress that I wanted I had buy it.. I couldn't resist so I told my sales rep that I would get it. I am 5'8 and with 3 inch heels I am about 6'0. I told the lady my height and i showed her my heels and I told her that I would like to order the extra long.. she said "I have been a sales rep for over 10 years and you do not need the extra length TRUST ME, you will be fine"
so we ordereded it like that, 5 weeks later my dress arrives and I go for the fitting, the dress fits me highwaters and 1 inch below my ankle, I look at the sales rep and I tell her WHAT THE HELL and she says, YOU NEED TO LOOSE WEIGHT, YOU HAVE GAINED WEIGHT, knowing that I have not gained weight since I weigh myself each morning, I still ask.. HOW MUCH WEIGHT SHOULD I LOOSE FOR THE DRESS TO FIT ME FINE, she says YOU HAVE BIG HIPS SO THE DRESS STOPS AT YOUR HIPS, IN ORDER FOR THE DRESS TO GO DOWN TO THE FLOOR YOU NEED TO LOOSE 10LBS. so 3 weeks go by and I loose 15lbs with the help of a hired trained and a nutritionist, so I go back, and the dress still fits me short.. NOW WHAT? they tell me that they can not order me another one, because it is discontinued and no other place has it, that i can buy lace at a local fabric store and stones to put on the lace.
I go to the damn fabric store, and I show them my dress and they pull out a very similar fabric and lace and all the beading and it all ads up to $200.00 so I buy it, and I call the manager from davids bridal and I tell him everything that I purchased, he then says JUST A SECOND, (puts me on hold, and then gets back on the phone and says) ALTERATIONS FOR YOUR WORK IS USUALLY $95.00 but we are giving you a 50% discount so it is going to be $45.00
THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR THEIR MISTAKE! I have paid more than I expected on the dress. I am beyond pissed!!
my question is, DO I HAVE A POSSIBLE LAW SUIT? I contacted a lawyer today and he said that he would get back w/ me tomorrow.
needless to say that today has been hell! I was in the stupid fabric store crying like a little girl to the owner..
