Did anyone catch this? It seems to be Dave's version of Live at the Apollo (well, actually it's other version of LatA, after the repeats of the original).
First ep had (a rather disappointing) Ben Elton, re-using the material from his last DVD.

Thoughts? :confused:
 
When watching the advert when Bel Elton is talking, after he says "featuring some of the UK's best loved comedians" I always visualise him continuing on saying "oh, and me, Ben Elton"

I can't stand Ben Elton, just not funny.
 
I've not seen this one, but there is at least one more.

This Sunday the headline act is the useless Jack Whitehall.

Bet he does the same jokes he did on McIntyre's RoaRABhow, Live from the Apollo and Mock the Week.:rolleyes:
 
I don't know why people think that Live at the Apollo was the first instance of standup comedy on tv.

Edinburgh and Beyond has been going for years and is probably the inspiration for Apollo. Not that E&B was anything new.



The problem with all the standup shows and panel shows is that a majority of the acts will repeat their routines.
There's not usually anything new on Comedy RoaRABhow when you're a comedy fan and watch The Comedy Store and other programs and it's the same on panel shows (especially the standup round on Mock the Week).

I was going to watch the show though, but i'm not really a fan of any of the acts this week but may put one of the repeats on in the background.
 
I went to watch the Johnny Vegas being filmed. I cant wait to see how the hell they are going to edit it into a show, it was manic.
