Daughter with hard lump

About 10 days ago my daughter, who is 17, was practicing some dance moves when she noticed a sore area in the crease of her leg. Within in days the hard lump doubled in size and is very sore to touch. Went to ER last night and he put her on antibotics, if no change then see our doctor. Should we be worried.

It sounds like a lymph node that is swollen gathering whatever bad bug got into her. Lymph glands job is to gathre the bad buggies we get due to scrates or infections etc. When they have dissolved all of the germs, they shrink down again but it can sometimes take months. It sounds like this gland got an infection, hence the antibiotic. I wouldn't be overly concerned until after the course of antis it still is swollen. My bet is that after 24-28 hours on the meds she will see a change.

keep me posted, 'K?
