Daughter swallowed pencil grip

My 5 year old daughter swallowed a rubber pencil grip the size of a kidney bean. Shhe is not choking or having a ahard time breathing but she says she can still feel it in her throat. What should I do?

I would call her doctor, my daughter swallowed a penny at about that age and it caused her no harm. It concerns me that she can still feel it in her throat.
I would call her doctor and ask his or her advice, If her doctor is not available I would go to the ER.
Let us know how it goes!

Kids! It's amazing what they can swallow isn't it? I'm sure what your daughter is feeling is the path that it left as it went down her throat. But, at that age it's better to be safe than sorry.

Call your pediatrician's office, and talk to the nurse. Don't talk to the receptionist. That's a waste of time. Tell the nurse what she did and go with her judgement. She will either tell you to bring her in or just watch her and her poo for he next few days. How exciting!
