-----Dating laws? Help? :(?

What are the laws for dating? Such as, is it ok for a 15 year old girl (freshman in high school) to DATE an 18 year old guy (senior in high school)? Or is that totally illegal? Help :(

There are no laws against dating a minor.

Laws against having sex with one, on the other hand, vary state to state. You'd best wait until they're 18.
 
There are no dating laws, only rape laws. Statuatory rape occurs only when sexual intercourse takes place. This depends largely on the state, i will update my answer if you update with which state you wish to know about.



Texas allows up to a three year difference between actor and "victim" as allowable so long as it is consentual. This however requires a trial to be used because the legal age of consent is 17. Long story short you will have to have a trial but you will almost certainly win if your boyfriend is arraigned (accused of statuatory rape). It's technically legal but not fully.
 
It's true that there are no laws against dating, but I'm assuming that you also want to know about sex.

Since you are under the age of 17, in Texas, the law is that if your boyfriend is "not more than three years older" than you and does "not use duress, force, or a threat against the victim at the time of the offense" then it's legal. Once you turn 17, however, you may date and sleep with someone who is 90 years older than you--it's legal.

Since 15 and 18 are pretty close to the 3 year mark, I would calculate the exact difference before you did anything, to make sure that it isn't even a little bit over. Otherwise wait until you're 17, I guess...

well actually there are no restrictions. just the statutory rape. this guy i know is a 19 year old and goes out with a fifteen year old. he would be a senior but he dropped out. she is a sophomore and 15. they have been going out for exactly a year and a couple days. i think the best thing to have is there's a age difference like that is to not hurt her and be honest and faithful to her,
