DATA Plan block for Verizon?

the data block for verizon wireless is just for mobile web, v cast, and/or text messaging. the block is just for the basic/3g phones. does not apply to the smart phones. So anything like the blackberry's, any of the android devices, or windows smart phones its 29.99/month on top of your calling plan. they do have a few options they don't advertise as well. i think there is a 15.99 plan but its only for 25mb of data per month. and go to a real Verizon wireless store, indirect agent stores tend not to so much lie, but not fully explain everything
 
Hey I might want to by a phone from Verizon but I don't want to pay the $30 a month for data! Verizon said it is mandatory (Yes I know) but can't they put a block on DATA just as they would for texting? I'm not sure, can someone help me?
