Dash/ Tmo-MDA?

My brother has a dash and he absolutley hates it.. This is his 3rd Dash in 2 months, he's stuck with it because that's the only qwerty phone that is capable with GoodLink..
So all of you tmo employees.. Do you know if there is anyyy way that he could send it back and get an MDA for a discounted price???

Don't know if Tmo will cut you a deal like that, but what I would do is when you go to speak to a Rep I would personally tell them,"Hey, I need to speak to a manager regarding my Dash because I've had nothong but problems with the phone". I once told the Manager this, "you know what I rather cancel my service with you guys since you can't seem to come to a better solution to fix my problem, I further went on saying that you guys have outstanding plans and one of the best customer service dept. He then asked me Mr Jones, what could I do to better this problem? I replied, you can upgrade my phone at no cost and I'm gonna send back the current phone that I have, and he agreed. Tmo is the type of company that they hate to lose a customer! It worked for me, so I believe if you are convincing enough, you can make it work. What's the worst they can tell you, we gonna send you another dash! I have the 8700 and a Mda, and when I say you cannot go wrong with a Mda, I mean that. That phone has outstanding capabilities. Give it a try. Remember ther customer is always right!
 
if he has sent it in a couple of times the will do whats called an alternate exchange and last i heard an 8700g was the only option but it could have been update to either an mda or 8700 or even a pearl but he has to call in and ask for another replacement device for in exchange for his dash
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~ I got my first Pearl as an alternative exchange after taking the second of 2 7105T's back to the store I go to pay my bill at (busted trackwheel).

I had to ask for the Pearl because I didn't want the Dash or another 7105t, which I should have gotten LOL

It took an HOUR to finally get the deal to go thru for me to get the Pearl because the rep on the other end of the line kept disconnecting the call. Of course I ended up having to replace that Pearl cause it shut down and never came back on about 8 weeks after I got it.
