Darkness around wound. Infected Wound?

About 6 days ago I had a testicular operation and I had disolving stitches and in a certain spot it is still bleeding and there is some darkness around the skin is this infected. Theres no real way it could have gotten infected really besides the fact I have a waterproof bandaid on it for 3 days. BTW i have a doctors appointment next friday should I wait till then to get it checked out.
 
its probably a bruise my mom had cancer sergery done and there was darkness around her stitches and she told me it was just a bruise
