Never heard of this before, but the description makes it sound darn interesting.

Dark Oracle was a pretty cool series. Not exactly great, but it worked well, and is worth the price of admission (it's only $10 on Amazon.ca). Be forewarned though, the series was cancelled (due to an inability to secure government funding), so the entire story hasn't been resolved, but the archs set in motion in each season were.

It's about as well as blend of live action and animation should be.

This show was extremely low budget and it was very noticeable.
