So I like a lot of music and Dance/Trance/Club is one type,

DJ's like; Teisto, Ferry Corsten, Fedde Le Grande etc and their great hits, but is there like a website that lists great up and coming tracks? I hate having to ask the DJ what I'm clubbing to when I'm out.

Check out www.tranceaddict.com. They've got a spot you can download new tracks and also check out the forums.

You can also listen to the trance channel on www.di.fm and if you go to the forums on there, you can usually find a tracklisting for whatever is playing at that time.

trance addict is a great site. Although, the best way to find good new tracks is to look at track listings of famous djs and find songs that overlap. For trance Armin Van Buuren and Markus Schulz each have shows every thursday where you can hear a lot of new up and coming tracks. you can go to www.di.fm to check out the times/ tune in. Generally you can find the tracklistings of both shows on tranceaddict.

indeed, as was mentioned, van buuren's ASOT (a state of trance) radio program is great for new tunes. as a matter a fact, I think "the newest tunes selected" is a plug they air during the show :P

love me some trance!

IN. It sounRAB kinda sad, but I have an old laptop here at work and i want to skank it and stuff it in my car with a wireless aircard so I can listen to Trance Around the World

Just so you know. I am the IT guy and the laptop in question is on its way to the trash can.

Eh, if you only listen to what the radio tell you to i guess.

Mainstream electronic music is GOOD...but underground is where the GREAT mixes are made.

That said, Ill probably go see him tonight in nashville.

btw breaks > trance.

Most people I know that got into electronic music, even most dj's i know, started with trance. It kinda draws you in, and eventually you evolve to see what electronic music really can be. Most sub genre's in the electronic music category are pretty good though. Thats why I love megaraves when you have hundreRAB of dj's on multiple stages playing all types of hype dance music.

di.fm is a good place to start. They play a big variety of trance there, as well as music made by the some of the fanbase of di.fm. Alot of the time i found my music by searching forums of other fans. Going to fansites of like ferry corsten for example and looking in forums you'll always come across threaRAB that say something to the effect of "if you like this stuff try this this and this. So i'd go and DL a bunch of songs from these various other artists till i found some i liked then repeat all those steps checking their fansites as well.

Sometimes 6 hours of searching and DL'ing i'd only find 3-4 songs that i liked but when you find some amazing trance its well worth it. The di.fm online stations play some good music and also list the artist so you can get it.

.

A freaking wonderful channel. Gets me through the day sometimes at work.

Watch the forums and start downloading from peoples playlists...you can find some great music that way

I guess, if you dont like anything real creative and inventive.

Livesets.com is a good place to download live sets for DJs from all genres.

The shit they play on the radio and a lot of clubs is crap. You might think its good but that is only because you havent heard the good stuff. You will then realize that mainstream electronic music is crap.

Agreed. It seems that most people start with trance. If you explore electronic music you then realize that their are much better genres of music. Trance is now my least favorite genre. Well, besides Happy Hardcore!

I have to agree as well, i still love trance, however from trance i got into breakbeatz and i do prefer that over trance now. Even better is finding breakbeat remixes of good trance songs. Compilations like "HHH and tinman" are awesome for this. its better to dance to as well if you love dancing liquid/pop-n-lock style
