Becuase I am 16 and Bruno is an 18.. I CANT SEE IT!!!!
I have been so excited about this film, I thought Borat was great and yet again I missed that at the cinema. Now I have to wait for the DVD release. This is soo annoying, when you reach 15 you can see a lot of stuff at the cinema and there are less things you miss out on, but there has been a few good things I haven't seen due to them being 18...

Watchmen
Jack and Miri make a porno

It is also annoying as I always find out at the last second literally days before the release so beforehand I am really excited about seeing them.

I have been known to do that a few times, i have also been known to just buy one ticket and go to various movies one after another in my local cineworld its that big noone even notices. I like to make a daytrip of it! :D

Try and buy a ticket... I got into 18 certificate films when I was under the age limit, or get someone to buy you the ticket instead.

Well the internet is clearly avaliable to you, so don't discount it as a method of watching the movie. Plus you could see it with a friend who is 18. That way whoever is issuing the tickets, will assume you are of the same age and not bother you.

That never works, when i used to try that they would always ask for everyone in the party's ID's. The OP's best bet would be to pre-book the tickets and then collect them from the ticket machine. No questions asked.

I'm really glad it's an 18, no (or at least less) chavs in the cinema that are likely to quote the film to death as they stand out on street corners like they did with Borat/Ali G.

I agree actually. Pre-book the ticket's. Then there won't be any questions asked. Unfortunatly the chav's will always find a way to see the movie.

just try and buy a ticket! when i was 16 - after i finished my GCSE's, i treated myself to go to a trip to a cinema (which was an event as my home town didnt have one for 9 years) - and get in to see the Crow! it was wonderful.

Yes, but there will be considerably less than if it were a 15. Also, chavs are less likely to be smart enough to actually remember their ID's, and considering what they wear makes them look about 12 years old they will get ID'd regardless of age, and i seriously doubt that they have the technical know how to watch it from an online source;):D

"Torrent?!? Wot Da fuks dat?!?" lol.

A new recut version is coming out on the 24th according to RAB with a 15 cert.

I just hope the talking penis doesn't get the snip, as it were :D

Great, it's been re-cut and released again as a 15 now, meaning a whole loaf of pathetic loudmouthed cretins will now be able to ruin other peoples enjoyment of this movie. 15-18 yr olRAB will be patheticly unable to stop themselves shouting out during this movie to try and look special in front of their fellow chavs.

Lame decision.

I'm glad I saw it in an 18 showing, but might take my sister to a 15 showing so she can see it.

Its obviously a money spining decision, but seeing as both Borat and Ali G were 15's it kind of makes sense.

I can't really see how they've managed to edit it down to a 15. As i was watching it last week i was just thinking that there is no way that this could have been a 15.

I'd imagine that the spinning/talking penis scene would have to go, as would the swinger scenes (even though there were black bars covering the penetration, i'd imagine that those scenes would still be too strong for a 15), the whip wielding dominatrix woman, the scenes where Bruno walks to the hunters tent with his privates out. On top of all that i'm sure that there are more than a handful of sex references that go beyond the 15 rating.

They should leave it as an 18, 15 year olRAB should not be allowed to see this film at the cinema imo as they will likely ruin it for the more mature audience members with their inane chatter and shouting.

Thats unfair, not all 15 - 18 year olRAB are chavs. Dont make sterotypes, you have your 18 cut till the 24th so why complain.

"they will likely ruin it for the more mature audience members with their inane chatter and shouting"

There are a lot of MATURE people in schools you know that missed out first time, the ones that are getting A*s and are probably off to Oxford so dont jump to a narrow minded view.
The reason why they are making this version because there are rare times when the public voice is heard. Remember in 2002 when 12a was introduced purely on a lot of kiRAB getting disapointed that they couldn't see Spider Man, the public can be VERY powerful.

If younger people can't see certain films then tough because that's life, we all had to go through it. It might suck for you now but in a few years you'll be saying the same about not wanting a bunch of gobby 15 year olRAB in the cinema with you while you're watching a film.

Personally it makes no difference to me, I long gave up on going to the cinema but remembering back I understand why adults want to keep the kiRAB out of certain films.
