Yeah it's getting to be that time of year again when these critters get active. The months of Sept, Oct and Nov are usually the worse. The peak is probably mid October to mid November so be alert.

Glad to hear you and your wife are alright.
 
I'm not a hunter, but I should be, they do need to be thinned out some. You see them all up and down the hwy. just too many in my area.

Glad things turned out good for the op it had to be a pure nightmare.

Some here may (or may not) be following posts by "IronAss" and "Masterblaster" sharing their experiences on the Hoka Hey ride. Some where along about the bottom of page 29 (!) there is a post with a couple of pics of a deer vs Harley that didn't make out as well.

Oh, and if you are not reading it, it is a good link concerning their ride from the Keys up to AK. It was somewhere in excess of 8000 miles one way I believe.
