Damage to Pontiac Grand Prix engine?

I wrote back a couple weeks ago when I added seafoam to my oil after an oil change. I added a full bottle didn't notice any changes in my car except for it being difficult to start the first time and performance was actually better then it is now. I became concerned when I read various threads saying to add seafoam before an oil change. I drove 1,428 miles until I changed my oil again to remove the seafoam at 49,800. Now I have 50,986 miles. Maybe I didn't notice it before but now I hear a strange metal tapping sound by the wheel wells long with my lifters sounding louder then usual and other strange noises but if it were up to me I would prefer to hear just the exhaust growl because everything bothers me. I'm concerned that with exceeding my oil level I may have caused damage to my lifters, push rods, headers or something to get that faint metal tapping sound. Today I noticed that my coolant recovery tank was close to empty when it kept making a gurgling sound. The engine was at full operating temperature. It was a bit hot but within normal range for sitting. Im going to wait until it cools down to recheck it. Dex-cool coolant is suppose to be good for 5 yrs or 100k miles. The cars only 4 yrs old. Should I be concerned with flushing the engine coolant and changing my spark plugs too. Also I do a lot of driving and I'm a guy so i tend to be hard on my car as well. I am getting ready to go on a 6 hr road trip pretty soon is there anything I should check or have changed? I know I need a transmission flush, engine air filter, and supercharger oil change. I'm not due for another oil change until 52,800 and currently have 84% oil life remaining. Which brings me to another question, is it better to change synthetic oil every 3,000 miles or go according to your oil life monitor?
Im a 20 year old guy and for awhile I was using low quality gas which recommends premium. I know that can create build up. Just doing preventive maintenance. I checked my engine radiator coolant (not recovery tank) and didnt see anything in it it looks dry and rusted from what I saw, but the car never overheats so somethings got to be in there. Even though its early I might just go ahead and have it flushed and refilled
