Daily Fever

Hello to all! I am new to this board, but so happy to have found this board and ALL OF YOU!

For the last three months (that I am aware of) I have had a fever EVERY day. My fever never drops below 99.1 and the last two day it has shot up to 100 and 101. I have a few abdominal pains, very minor and occasionally. I have been to numerous doctors, have had numerous tests and blood work done. Nothing seems to be wrong with me. I am going to see a new internal medicine doctor tomorrow. One doctor told me that the fever might not ever be diagnosed. Unfortunately I have turned to doing my fair share of research on the internet. It appears that a fever is the first sign of a few cancers and metastatic tumors. I am a little more than nervous. You know they always say that you know your own body more than anyone else does. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever suffered with daily fevers. Thanks so much!

I think you have a heavy metal overload. Most likely cadmium. Do you handle a lot of ni-cad batteries? Do a search on Cadmium and look for sources that might affect you.

Thanks for the input on the heavy metal overload. I will have to research that. However, I do not have a lot of ni-cad batteries in my house. That is something interesting to consider.

No, I do not notice a rash with the fever.

I went to a new doctor yesterday. She told me that a temperature is not considered a fever unless it is above 101 degrees. Mine has been up to 101 a few times. However, considering the longevity of the fever, she is going to take a "shotgun" approach which she usually does not do in her medical practice. I had blood drawn yesterday for LOTS of labs to be run. I am having an abdominal CT this afternoon, with contrast, to diagnose my abdominal pain. She is also prescribing another antibiotic that is given to people that have tick bites, just on the CHANCE that I could have been bitten by a tick. I do not remember being bitten by a tick, but stranger things have happened. :) There is another disease caused by tick bites, not Lyme's disease, but I don't remember the name she gave it. She did put my mind at ease telling me that she does NOT think I have any type of cancer!

I appreciate any and all replies I have received! Any future replies will also be appreciated and considered. At this point everything is still something to be considered!

Best wishes for best of health to ALL of you!
