What should i do? my dad is offering to give me and my bf our house after we graduate but neither want to start off our life like that. We want to save up, but more importantly if we get a new home we don't want to live so close to my parents. We are considering living with his parents because for one it would be free and a good opportunity to save, we wouldn't have to live in a dirty junked up house, and when we do get a house together, it will be a fresh start. The only problem is i don't know how to tell my dad that even though he is being extremely generous i don't want to go down the same path that he and my mother did (always being neighbors with his parents who were rude and living in dirty houses with other people's stuff) How do i tell him?
