I noticed: Gas station glasses? My dad nor my kid's father ever wore sun glasses.
Dad took us to theatre to see Disney movies. Not as many were animated back then. My crying scene was the death of "Ol Yeller." Dad's comfort for that was in explaining the horrific effects of rabies on the human body. (A hug would've done nicely.)
Still the same from the past is the line, "I got *dozens* of dollars... that go straight to my daughters & wife."
