I'm pretty handy with a spray can and have painted many car parts & stuff over the years and Iv mastered getting the best result from that method, but.. I need to custom paint my bike plastic body parts in proper, high-gloss & long lasting automotive paint but I know hardy nothing about us mixing (if needed), buying or going about using this kind of painting method. I'v just bought a Air-compressor & good spray gun.. Whats my next step? What paint do I buy? I know theres 2pac paints & metallics ect, but i dont know which is best to use & how to go about using them in my gun. Do I need to buy thinners ect & what i do with them. Any information will be helpful as im all new to this type of painting. Thanks :D

WHOA Painting plastic is not a easy job. you have to use a mold release agent then a plastics adhesion promoter then sealer then base coat then clear. and you have to add a flex agent in the sealer and in the clear coat.. got to dupont refinishes web site for info.
good luck mark p.s. krylon or aerosol paint is much more forgiving than urethane based professional paint...
