D: Drive not recognizing games.?

Whenever I insert a game into my Vista PC, I go to My Computer and double click D Drive, but it just ejects the disk and tells me to insert a disc. DVDs and CDs work, so it's not a problem with the drive itself. I have tried many games, none of them are scratched. Can anybody recommend a fix?
