What does it mean when the results say that there is a 2.8 complex cystic structure in the left ovary. What does it mean when it says that The left ovary appears normal measuring 3.7 cm in maxium dimension containing small follicles. Ajacent to the inferior aspect of the left ovary is somewhat irregular shaped complex fluid collection. This measures approximately 3.7 cm in AP dimension, 2 cm in transverse dimension, and 1.8cm in superior-inferior dimension. This is not simple fluid as there is a rim of increased signal on the T1-weighted images. This shows no enhancement. This is of uncertain etiology.
