We have a 1999 toyota tacoma. The check engine light has been on. I replace the fuel cap and fuel filter still no help. The spark plug wires I had would shock you when you touched them and the truck was running so I replaced tham and they still do (they are after market wires from Oreilly). Ok so still the c/e light is on. I brought it to a local Toyota mechanic and he said cylinder is a little low on compression but not enough to worry, however the toyota place says that is the whole problem. The local mechanic says for me to have my fuel injectors cleaned. The vehicle does have a rough idle and smooths out when you increase rpm. any suggestions or help would be appreciated!!
