Cydia mods (minus Mobile Substrate)?

I jailbroke my iPod touch 4th gen and use installous occasionally. I uninstalled mobile substrate (a code insertion platform) for speed as my folders take a lot longer to open on my home screen. This means that I do not have mods like Winterboard and SBSettings. Are there any mods (or apps) from Cydia that dont require Mobile Substrate and are pretty good. I'd appreciate good answers a lot.
