Is taking birth control with skipping the placebo pills (cycling it) so that I don't have a period just as effective against pregnancy? I have been instructed by a doctor to skip my period and only have it once every three months. I am taking microgestin and am having sex with my husband and was wondering if skipping the placebos had any effect on the effectiveness of birth control in regards to preventing pregnancy. Thanks!!
