Cycling a fish tank..?

Hi,

My little fish Emma passed away yesterday (Swim bladder) I empied the tank and have added new conditioned water. Do I need to cycle the tank? Or is it only when I have a new filter?

Its a big tank and I want to add 2 goldfish!

Because you did a complete water change I would wait a few days test the water and if everything is fine than i would go ahead and add new fish. Good luck
