Here is what is going on. I recently took a left hand corner in my car and heard loud grinding coming from the CV axle. I had to push the car home cause every time I put it in gear I would hear the same loud grinding. I got it home and took the car apart and saw that I had ripped a CV boot and there was grease everywhere. So I went to auto zone and bought a new CV axle. They asked me if it was a three or four speed automatic. I did not know how to tell, but they had the three speed in stock, so I got it. I got home and put the new axle in and it seemed to fit fine. I took the car for a test drive after the new axle was installed, and it did the same thing again. I didnt even get out of my driveway and it did it when I was turning the wheel sharply. I could hear lound grinding again. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.
