I have a 94 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.9 V8 (360). It has a K&N cold air intake and a dule exhaust. It is loud. But, I want it louder. I am thinking about cutting the muffler off. The muffler is a one in two out. I want to cut the muffler out and weld in a a pipe. However, I have herd that cutting the muffler off can hurt the engine. I have buddys that have done it. But I have also herd nasty things, like it can hurt the valves, make the truck run hotter, loose power and fule mileage. I am not worried about geting ticketed for it being verry loud. I just want to know if it would really hurt anything at all.
