Okay so basically we own the left and right side fences in our garden as we back onto another road, the neighbours are separated from us by a huge bush which is on their side, then there is our fence. The hedge must have been 4 foot wide until they cut a lot of it back.
My 10 year old BLIND cat comes through their bush and under a hole in our fence to get in and out of our garden, these new neighbours who have moved into the house with the massive bush have blocked off the hole on their side with this massive wooden thing and bricks. My cat was meowing behind the fence just now because he couldn't get back in our garden.
Anyway I was thinking of just cutting out a little square the size of a cat flap by a bushier part of the hedge and behind the neighbours shed. Can I do it? I mean its my fence after all
@Mary P: I know a lot of people seem to think I should keep him in, but he has been an outdoor cat all his life, it wouldnt be fair to keep him indoors now. He loves going outside and 70% of the time stays in the garden.
Our vet hasnt suggested keeping him in, just make sure he is in at night.
