The off-season workouts on Monday are not mandatory so Cutler doesn't necessarily have to show up. The only incentive he has to going to these workouts would be that he gets $100,000 for just showing up. I'm not sure how anyone can call him a cry baby. Mcdaniels came in and told Cutler that he would be the starter and would be the future of the Broncos. Then he tosses him aside when Cassel becomes available. If I was Cutler, I would be pissed too and certainly would not want to play for a coach who does not have faith in me. The Broncos screwed this one.
Also, Cutler did not get owned because he currently holds all of the cards. He can refuse to play and who are the Broncos going to sign? Jeff Garcia? No one on the free agent market matches up to Cutler at all. Or the Broncos trade Cutler, release him, whatever, and he gets to go play for a team that actually wants him. Right now, the Broncos management has gotten owned. They lost out on Cassel and now they're going to lose Cutler too. If they do trade Cutler, you better believe he'll only be worth a late 1st rounder or an early 2nd rounder. After all, that's all the Pats got for Cassel and we all know the Broncos think Cassel is better than Cutler.
I wouldn't mind seeing Cutler wearing green and white next year. He'd be a huge acquisition for the Jets.
