Cut on the outside of the vagina. How long until it heals?

I recently was tested for STDs and I am clean, I've been with the same man for 6 months so I'm sure I don't have any STDs. I began noticing I was itchy one day after work and I scratched and accidentally scratched a little too hard and there is a cut now. The next day I completely forgot about the cut and my partner and I started to have sexual intercourse and I had to stop because it was way too painful. I immediately went to the bathroom to pee and it hurt so bad I could have cried. I checked myself out and then remembered the cuts. How long will this take to heal? How long should I not have sex? Is this something more serious that I should be more worried about?
 
Because there is a risk of infection, you may want to see a doctor. The healing time depends on the location and depth of the cut but a doctor will be able to help. I wouldn't have sex until you are sure it's gone (risk of infection is only one reason)
