cut on arm

Hey guys, I broke a window by accident on Friday and cut my arm pretty badly... specifically the lower part under the forearm

i've been disinfecting it with peroxide and neosporin and bandaids and all that daily.. however, today I've noticed a slight part of the vein around the cut leading to the hand feels slightly numb when touched and sometimes (but seldom) burns for a few seconds.

The cut looks normal in color and doesn't hurt that much to touch nor does the surrounding area.

Swollenness is present

I'm scared now... I mean the cut looks fine and doesn't appear to be infected..

please help
 
The swelling may be pressing against the nerves, which is cutting off the feeling. That is probably what is causing the lack of feeling. That being said I would have it checked by your good old local gp just to make sure that you haven't done any serious damage. Chances are that you haven't, but when did you have your last tetnous shot? I good once over won't hurt. Cut glass ins't anything to mess around with, and it's better to be safe than sorry in cases like this. Glass can migrate if a piece has managed to be left in the wound.
