Custom tire/wheel configuration: Ford Escape with different Ford OEM wheels?

I am thinking about getting some summer tires for my 2009 Escape while using some OEM FoMoCo wheels. I've thrown some numbers together and the Lincoln MKS 19" wheels, normally fitted with 255/45R19 tires, would be only 2mm bigger in height if put with 255/50R19 tires and then bolted to the Escape. I have a few other options; the Lincoln MKS wheels are just one of the many. Would this job be okay/safe? Should I be worried that the wheels were not built for the tire?
My wheels on the Escape:
16" + 235/70R16, so about 735.4mm

A few other configurations I've thrown together are:
MKS 19" + 255/50R19 = 737.6mm
Explorer (08LTD/SpTrc) 18" + 235/60R18 = 739.2mm
Explorer 17" (06LTD) + 245/60R17 = 725.8mm
