or to get your thumbs out onto the reporting button??
Seems there is a lot of hate here, with questions and answers and accounts getting removed for no apparent reason.
Is any of use big enough to say if they have a problem with another user or would you all prefer to hide behind the report button???
PS and ya thumbs down aint from me, they from the haters that think I shouldnt dare ask a Q........
LEVEL 2 now .....TU for y'all :))

hi steph..
i won't ask any more questions on this section, after all the vios i have had recently.. might set my acc to private and remove all contacts.not that i have many... it's so unfair , yahoo seem to prefer the reporting morons'...

firstly i don't use the report button,
secondly i stopped asking questions in here
they all get fooking reported anyway,
and i couldn't give a rats ar$e how many thumbs down i get.
so lets see how many i can get here.

Answer, unless I'm really really pissed and there's nothing to answer so I have to ask something completely stupid in a drunken state to get some life out of this place at 2am when everyone's gone to bed. :-)

I don't really have a problem with anyone on here either. I see people have a go at other people and I look beyond the screen and see that there's a real world out there, and yet people try and trade insults on a website. If anything, I pity them for having a life so bad they have to insult complete strangers who don't know where they are so they can't get a reaction. Life goes on. :-)

bit of both

I am going through break up after 15 years, pregnant also, so I use Answers for bit of therapy and if I can answer questions on subjects as pregnancy, and get advise on break ups then I get the best of both worlds.

When answering questions, it takes my mind of my messed up head for a couple of minutes.!!

To answer your question about reporting button, I don't know why they get removed... so much for freedom of speech.

I understand if questions/answers cross the line with certain topic matters, ie child porn then they should be taken off, infact the user should be banned from Yahoo altogether

I read more than I answer also any contact I have with another user is always nice but if I did have a problem with another user then yes I would contact them and ask what I had done.

Bit of both but I mainly answer. As for some getting too personal, I think they need to remind themselves this is cyber space. The report button should be used for those who deem it their right to be abusive and personal, which takes giving an opinion to an unacceptable level...
I have much better things to do with my thumbs and 'other' buttons to press... ;-)

I come here to ask and answer have not pushed the report button for a long time-there will always be some who do just for the fun of it Steph-it would be better if they email if they have a problem-if they are full of hate-they are not worth bothering about! Don't worry x

Well i`m afraid i`ve got a terrible problem with you!
You`re just too serious on here for me. There we are i`ve got it off my chest now. I`ll sleep better tonight. :)

when im on yahoo answers i try not to ask much questions unless i really am desperate 2 know because its a loss of 2 points. I mostly answer questions and almost all of the time my answers are the best advice i can give.

oh my god!! someone else i want to know.. i hear ya.. i feel if people have a problem with an answer just hit the thumbs down.. why hit the report button.. and if people don`t like the question then they should just move on from it.. SELECT ANOTHER..i think some just do it because they don`t know what that button really means.. maybe they can`t read? poor illierate baboons..and one more thing i think they report people because either the answer isn`t what they want to hear or the question is to hard for them to answer...

I ask and answer. Most of the times the questions I ask have already been asked by other members. Lately I've been answering a lot. I don't have enough points to vote yet ~ so I can't thumbs up/down anyone.

There will always be a lot of hate and member bashing when ever you have a forum where people can express their opinions and leave comments. It's easy to do since people's true identity are hidden behind user names. Some people's comments are truly distasteful and obnoxious - I ignore those comments since they are simply stupid and childish and I only answer the question that was asked. I've reported one person because they didn't even answer the question - they left a really obnoxious comment that didn't have anything to do with the topic.

It doesn't really matter how much people get reported, they can still come back and create new accounts and then carry on as they were.

I thiink Y/A needs to look at when they suspend people on here, rather than just banning people's Y/A account, the need to look at the possibility of banning people's IP addresses. That way, banned people won't be able to create anothrer account.
