J.K. Rowling? Please, do not post anything immature. I am just looking for serious opinions. I have read all of the Twilight series, and only the first Harry Potter book..I favor Twilight over Harry Potter. However, I am curious as to why other authors and people say that Stephanie Meyer is a bad writer? I really felt I could realte to her characters, and like her choice of wording.
Yeah, I did have a hard time getting through Breaking Dawn..I seriously do not understand why it had to be so dang long for everything that happened...the end was totally blah! But, yes..I think I like it because of the emotional connection to the characters. I guess what I am trying to say is why is it a bad thing to target your writing towards teens? I think it's great because so many teens don't read, and now they are.
I like all of your points. Even though I still really like the series..I understand what you all have to say about it. Bella can get annoying..very dramatic, but what teenage girl isn't? I think the reason I am interested in her character is more because of how insecure she is, and how she reacts to her pain..I have felt pain like her, but never reacted her way about it. I think it lets people who go through hard times sort of live it out through the book. Edward is only romantic because of the way he loves Bella so much, and he loosens up on Bella when she does whatever she wants anyway. Someone watching me while I sleep does sound romantic to me anyway...lol.
