Curious, atheists is it a waste of resources, hospital bed, and medical staff...

...to hospitalize a 85 year old for? suicide attempt and/or risk?

I mean technically someone that old doesn't have that long to live anyway. We are all going to die, why prevent someone that old from dying.
Actually if a criminal is young they can be rehabilitated. Even if a senior that old changes, their going to be dead in a few years.
Shouldn't someone that old be getting discussions about end of life care? And acceptance of death.
What selfish right do you have for preventing an 85 year old from committing suicide. Sure if the person was 30 or even 50 you can say "You have a lot more life to live", but at 85 or older their life is lived. They should know that themselves, and should have a say of when and how they want to end it.
Tim,
Actually emotional immature outburst make me nervous.
Why is it called "giving up". Why can't it just be "Okay I'm in my mid 80s I am ready to die now"
