Why not just treat with hole in head meds in calculted doses from the pet store?

Yes you can use it but it needs to be mixed much lower than 1 tesp per pound of food. figure what you will need You do know this is for internal only and Quinine Sulfate is used for external. How do you know they are internal?

I would say no but if no one else answers with a better informed answer, id ask your vet to be sure. Most medications for animals (including fish) are the exact same thing given to humans. Only a much smaller dose and in an easier form to take. Like powder or liquid. The human med should be safe but i would not attempt giving it without finding out the exact dose for the amount of gallons. Also a human pill wont dissolve in an aquarium the way it is supposed to. You would have to use a mortar and pestle or similar item to completely crush it to a fine powder.

So please do a bit more research and find a vet near you who has some aquatics experience. One who has treated pond fish before should be able to help you more.
