that polices their civilians rather than protect them as they were told (sold) was the purpose of civilian military when they were created.

But it's never been done in a free country.

Are we no longer free?

I hope you are not equating a Civilian Military with an armed citizenry.

Armed citizenry is THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS, not a civilian military OWNED by the government.
