I had a stainless steel crown for seven years. It became perforated and i had it replaced 2 days ago. The dentist said that my crown got perforated from the side because of a misfit. I thought it was just because it was old. Anyway, in order for that smaller crown could fit the dentist drilled my molar. Later, I heard it was a one-size-fits-all crown. When I left the dentist and saw my crowned molar I felt really sad. My molar was reduced to half its original height. It's too short in comparison to all my other teeth. Its upper biting pair cannot touch it. There is a gap.
Will this mess up all the years I wore braces?
Is it possible that because the upper molar is not touching my crowned bottom molar, my upper molar will extend downward?
