Crossover Buddies

Remember on Cartoon Network in the 90's we see Fred Flinstone, Thundarr the Barbarian, and Chicken (From Cow and Chicken), hanging out through several bumpers. Or how well Luffy and the Strawhats from One Piece get along with Goku and his friends on Dragonball?

What characters from two or more different shows do you think will be best buds? What do you see them doing?

If Ponyland got good reception from Synergy, I can picture Jem & The Holograms hanging out with My Little Pony, at least the 80's versions. On a similar note, G.I. Joe and and the Autobots would also get along.

The Real Ghostbusters and Filmation's Ghostbusters might also hit it off. Heck, TRGB might even take it upon themselves to train the more incompetent Filmation versions.

I prefer crossovers where two characters meeting would create a conflict first, it's much more interesting. Of course they can always become friends later, after they understand each other.

I have a ton of crossover fanfic ideas that I will never write because I'm not a very good writer. Here are a few:

-Swat Kats and Talespin: T-Bone and Baloo would butt heads first, each claiming to be the best pilot, but would end up respecting each other in the end; Razor and Wildcat would talk tech together, and finally, Callie and Rebecca would get along fabulously.

- Talespin and Porco Rosso: Just thought of that one. I totally see Porco and Baloo swapping pirate hunting stories while having a drink at Louie's or Gina's place.

- Justice League and Hellboy: HB and Batman met once in the comic, they get along okay. I imagine HB and Lobo being the best of pals having a couple of beers together. And Abe and Martian Manhunter would get along great too.

- Superman, Tintin and Astro Boy: Bet you're all going "huh?" on this one, but let me explain. I imagined these three together because they each are the most famous comic characters from their region of the world (Superman from America, Tintin from Europe and Astro from Japan). They're three icons of the comic world and I would love to see them together.

They also have similar personalities, all three can be qualified as "Boy-Scouts", do-gooders who are not afraid to fight for peace and justice. Now I need to find a plot that would get them all together...

I have this idea knocking around in my head for a Kim Possible/Phineas and Ferb crossover that I think could actually work. I can definitely see Perry the Platypus teaming up with Kim and Ron to take down a united Dr. Drakken and Dr. Doofenshmirtz, with Rufus winding up in Phineas and Ferb's backyard and the boys deciding to build him the biggest habitrail ever. Heck, I think even Shego and Vanessa would get along...until Vanessa realizes how evil Shego really is, anyway.

I have to admitt I also had an idea for a Kim Possible/Phineas and Ferb crossover, but I image it going different. There would be some super amateur nationwide science fair going on in Dan Ville for Young Geniuses that Phineas and Ferb would enter, along with Jim and Tim. While there, Kim and Candace would meet and wind up becoming friends, sharing stories of times when their brothers annoyed them. Candace complains about never being able to "bust" them and Kim decides to help her out (feeling the only thing worse then annoying brothers must be annoying brothers who get away with everything) so she volunteers to get Linda to see what they're doing while Candace goes on a date with Jeremey. However the science fair is attacked by Dr. Drakken and Shego and during the fight some sort of new element is constructed which winds up becoming a top secret government project no one else can find out about or something. Meanwhile Ron and Rufus find Perry sneaking away to follow him. Turns out that Rufus was going to be a recruit of the O.W.C.A (Originzation without a cool acronym) but a mix up got him sent to a pet store, so he Perry and Ron have to team up to stop a Dr. Doofensmchrtz scheme. Turns out that Doofensmchrtz and Drakken used to be friends turned rivals as Ron keeps bugging Doof about all his backstories and Perry and Ron wind up just taking out his contrapation while Doof was talking. Ron also has to keep the mission a secret (though actually brings up a good point on asking why it is a secret since he and kim save the world the whole time but no one asks them to keep it a secret) and Major Monogram gives an explantion no one gets to hear (one of those "screw you" jokes). And the episode ends with Candace complaining to Kim about how she should change her tagline to "She can do anything except bust Phineas and Ferb!" and an end credits gag of Perry and Rufus constantly trying to shift tapes between the "Naked Mole Rap" and the Perry the Platypus theme.

.... Yeah I've had that idea for awhile so figured this would be a good place to put it since i do see the two worlds having a lot of crossover buddies and that above scenario does seem very likley even though it probably won't ever happen. (Since in truth it works with the two worlds a lot better then the Lilo And Stich/Kim Possible crossover that actually happen).

I could see Brian from Family Guy hitting on Martha Speaks while volunteering to man the phones at a PBS pledge drive, only to be turned down because she’s dating Clifford the big red dog. [insert inappropriate punch line here]

In fact I can see it so well if I had the perfect punch line I’d think I was just remembering an episode I haven’t seen in years.

There was already a Totally Spies/Martin Mystery crossover but it was only a cameo of Martin and M.O.M in an episode of TS. I would had wished then Diana and Java appeared as well and stretched it into a 2-parts episode.

A Gunsmith Cats/You're Under Arrest crossover. Imagine the 2 Tokyo policewomen Miyuki and Natsumi teaming with the explosive bounties hunters from Chicago, Rally Vincent and Minnie-May with lots of action, explosions and humor.

Gotta say, nothing will ever top the whole Race Bannon/Betty Rubble/Barney Rubble love triangle CN/running gag CN had going for a while back in the day. That was a total scream.
