I just got this DVD - the David Cronenberg film about drag racing - never seen it and been looking for it for years!
I'm a big David Cronenberg fan and always wondered what this film was like. He made it the same year as The Brood (1979) but it wasn't widely distributed and kind of went underground. It was regarded as not fitting in with the themes of the rest of his work, although I think Cronenberg himself once said that all his films, including this one, are really about the same thing. Haven't watched it yet - has anyone seen it, and if so, how do you think it fits with Cronenberg's other films?
It's a double disk edition with 2 of Cronenberg's early films on the second disk - Stereo and Crimes of the Future (of which I've only ever seen clips).
