...cause? Crochet: Companies/Organizations/Businesses etc… that can donate free yarn for a great cause?
So, here’s the deal/plan. I’ve recently picked up on my crocheting and just finished a scarf that I’ve been working on for about 3 weeks since. Given that winter season is just around the corner, and there are tons of people out there who will be in need of proper winter accessory I’ve derived a plan/project to crochet winter scarves to donate to organizations/shelters and such. But, since yarn is a bit expensive these days, especially quality yarn, I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any legitimate sources (factories maybe? I don’t know whom to contact) that can send/donate free yarns to me. Mind you, I have no care for damaged/dirtied yarn since there is such a thing as a washing/drying machine in the 21st century.
This would not only help me in gaining community service credits but it will help those in need as well. In fact, I don’t even care about the community service credits I really just want to use my talents to help others. Help anyone?
