Pair-apalegic
Impaired by your allegiance
A wheel chair has become my muse
Crippled and deluged
This idea that I need you
The compassion I feed you
Is all for naught
Cant escape the thought
That I need you
I bleed you.
But these legs are still my own
These legs may walk alone
But remember that im grown
And you wont see my tears
A culmination of irrational fears
Of an alchoholic clinging to your beer
Night sweats
Drowned out by depressed frets
That my Rose kissed sun will catalyze a self-inflicted son-set
Leaving me to wonder
If the treasure’s worth the plunder
Through a heart attack I wander
Salt spray
From a thought up play
Of you and I on a different day
The colors changed
Feelings equally arranged
My soul not manged
And then I wake from my dream
Though the windows are still streaming
And this lover’s heart is reeling
I know ill get to healing
And next time I won’t confuse
A blind heartless mannequin as my muse
I will find a love of natural hues
And you won’t be there
You will not be
On the tag of my dead feet
Even though this gas tank reads deplete
I will learn to walk
I will learn to believe in my talk
And from this growing stalk
I will be loved.
