Hi all,
I'm 22 years old, a professional footballer (soccer) currently out of contract. In the time 2 months I haven't been playing, I have been training incredibly hard in the gym and intense running.
I have also started taking supplements (protein) in addition to my training.
On Monday I decided to rest for a few days. I felt good for it come Thursday, 100% fit, yet on Friday morning (yesterday) I awoke with literally crippling muscle pains all over my body. I hadn't done any exercise for four days and now, on the second day, the pain is worsening in my legs and arms.
I also am experiencing an aching pain in my genitals. I can't see a doctor until Monday and I'm due to fly abroad to play with a club for five days next week.
Naturally I'm concerned I'll miss this, and am at a loss as to what it could be and when it will go away. Anyone know what it could be?
