A young man (my friend's son) was working in a diner part-time. The manager always told him he could take some left over food at the end of the day. The manager is fired for some other reason and tells the young man he is fired, too. The owner sees the young man on video and wants to press charges for "shop-lifting" the food. The owner calls the young man who explains that the manager said he could take the food. The owner wants him to come to the store (where he no longer works) to talk about it. Should the young man meet with him or say no?
