I have a condrum of sorts, I like to study a lot of different things and have 15 hours towards my bachelor's degree (pre-reqs that won't transfer), and would like to finish. I just got a job as a special ed. aide, and figure I will like it since I have substituted before as an aide and enjoyed it. I would like to get a degree that I like to study and can use for a job. Education would not really be up my alley right now since I want diversification within my degree. I have to go online and my only options that I see are Criminal Justice (at the school I'm at-private school), or Journalism (at a state school online). I might eventually teach but as stated I would really like to get a degree and enjoy writing, psychology, sociology, and english. I've taken a criminal justice class and loved it but love writing. I was heavy into journalism in H.S and write profilicly every week for church.
I know the job prospect aren't great right now, and the school I'm at offers an education degree but it is not for public school usage. Any advice? I'm so lost because I love to study and like watching, reading, talking to people in the law enforcement community and have skills that would readily available, but right now I'm in this job and I'm not going to complain because I am excited! I don't want to waste any more money or time with the whole degree thing. I have an option at my school to get a degree called Multidisciplinary Studies that would allow me to take 2 to 3 subjects but not have a specific major just specific classes. I can do psychology, criminal justice, and education but worry about its effectiveness.
P.S- I'm not good at math, big reason not in healthcare!
Serious replies only! I am seeking advice, and want to weigh in opinions, life experiences, and reasons, thanks again!
