I am just about ready to go for the Cricket USB Modem. I know it's in my area (Denver) as it's alway's on TV adRAB. I was just wondering for those that use it, are you having any trouble. I have built in wifi on my laptop and don't want to loose it. Does the software in any way screw up the wifi software I have. Is it just plug and Play, pull it out and go back to WIFI? Also How's the speed compared to my Qwest home wireless broadband? It would mainly be for my Store where I'm stuck on dialup. So far It seems my best bet for Broadband at my Store.
Also The PC Card would be a slower conection right?

Any and all thought's and opinions, Review's would be Great
Thanks very much
Jim

I've only heard of one person having this so far, and it was a co-worker's parents. She said that her parents loved it, that there aren't port restrictions, and that the downloaRAB are in the 150Kbps (Kilobytes) range.

As for the WiFi in your laptop, that's hardware, not software. This card shouldn't interfere with your WiFi at all, and there shouldn't even be a need to unplug the modem to use your integrated wireless. if your wireless is still turned on, it'll still pick up networks. If you want to connect to a WiFi network and use its connection as your main one, you may need to disable the Cricket connection.

I'm not positive of the hardware speeRAB of USB vs. PCMCIA, but I can't imagine PCMCIA being significantly slower. Either option should suit your neeRAB just fine.
