Cricket to Launch Android Phone

Yeah, that was also making me think, but then somewhere somebody mentioned that it is the same processor of some other Android phones that were out on T-Mobile and other other major carriers. I don't remember which phone they were comparing it to, but the point was, it worked fine with some other phones, so it should work fine with this one too.

It's probably best to wait until it comes out and talk to some people that have used it and see what they think of it. That would really tell us how it performs.

Is there any reason why Qik won't work on the Zio? I've noticed that on their site they have a list of supported phones, and was wondering if Qik needs to wait and do something in order for it to work on the Zio. I thought it worked on all Android phones, but I guess not. Do you think it'll work on the Zio?

Yeah, I agree. That's the big thing - that it's a Kyocera. I hope they stepped up and made this phone better than the others, but only time will tell.

It's my understanding that it's Kyocera's actual development and manufacturing that is not good. It's also my understanding that Sanyo's development and manufacturing ARE good. At the very least, you can feel much better about this phone with Sanyo added onto the name as opposed to solely Kyocera, yeah?

Well, having a Kyocera phone is embarrassing, so the Sanyo name on the label would help, yes. :p

I really hope this is a solid phone. I can't wait to hear the reviews.

I'd like to note though, that my first phone ever was Kyocera, and it went through absolute hell before it finally crapped out on me. :x And yeah, I was feeling down about this phone for a bit, but once I saw the newer video from DigInfo (or whatever it was) and it looked more responsive, I was in love.

Yeah, the DigInfo (I guess that was it), was the video that I saw that really got me going to. It was horrible before that! But, Kyocera did say that they were still developing it or whatever, so I guess that must have been true! I'm really eager to see the cost of this phone after the rebates. We've heard they were taking the free month away, which I'm guessing explains the drop in MSRP from $299 to $249, but after that I don't think we have details on rebates yet. I'm hoping the phone is $200 or less. It should be. :)
