Cricket to Launch Android Phone

i played with the zio yesterday it was not that bad seeing that its kyocera it has two market places one regular android and one cricket
with the launch of 4g from bigger companies cricket has gone uncap which means faster speed customers with cricket pda's and flash
pda's will have the position for the data package for 10 to 15 downside to zio is that the screen is plastic not glass so will break easy
most apps like qik or tikl need 4g speed anyway even on sprint or verizon 3g is just not fast enough and if you do get it to work the lag in it makes you not want to use unless you are on wifi

I hope its less than $299. Frankly, if it needs the $60 plan and it's $299, you aren't really saving much over Sprint or T-Mobile at that point (unless you truly need unlimited voice versus 900+ minutes). Plus, you would get better phones.

Yeah, I think we're all really hoping it's less than $299. Really, Kyocera said, unsubsidized, the phone should cost between $169 and $216. I think this would be a perfect phone for $199. If they do charge $299, and have a high monthly plan, it would make contract carriers more appealing in my opinion.

Sorry but this is wrong.

Tikl doesn't need 4g, average 3g works just fine; no lag. Tested on T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. The sound is almost instant.

Qik Video or QikTalk, I haven't tried neither.

To add to my above post, trying to use Tikl over Crickets network is impossible. At least its impossible for me. It connects but thats it.

From what I understand it's going to be a completely different data package they're rolling out than what they currently have, so nobody is REALLY sure how Android and its apps will function under the connection when it's opened wide.

Do you have any more details? Do you know the cost, or the speed that will be allowed, along with any information regarding a cap of any sort?

I've got a guy I can call. I've recently decided I'm going to be getting the Zio instead of a flashed HTC so I just called him up and asked if I can get any info on him. Regrettably, most of my contacts are in the sports world, not cellular technology. :[
