Cricket to Boost

I left Cricket service after being with them for many years. I figured I'd give Boost unlimited a try. The phone I have now i335 doesn't have all the features as my flashed Cricket phone. I didn't really use them that much though. Only thing I'm lacking service wise is 3-Way and unlimited directory assistance. I wanted to have a nationwide unlimited network. Boost has had a few calling pains, and so did Cricket in the begining. The data network is slower on Boost. I guess I just wanted to try something new. No big complaints yet.

I did the switch when they first came out with the service, but I was having issues with sending and recieving texts, sometimes they would come in instantly, most of the time they would be delayed by 30 min to 15 hours, or more, and then my phone a i880 would goto no service for about 2-3 minutes, then finally go back into service. The data was slower, which I could handle, but outgoing mms's had to be limited to 100k which wasn't to kosher with some pics. If you need nationwide on the cheap, I'd suggest checking out virgin mobile, if cricket covers the cities that you are in, then go with a $50+ a month plan, and use the roaming minutes for in between the cities you goto. Also the text messages that went out, went out as urgent, even though the priority was set to normal.

Either way, good luck with boost, if they could just get the text messaging under control, I think they will have much better luck with the unlimited plan, if not, then they better start pushing direct connect quick.

I do like how boost works with facebook nativity, and not through the wireless web, and I like the feel of the i880, and when I did have service (not coverage related, but iden related issues) the voice did sound good, also there are a few people that I did use direct connect with, but not enough to tolerate the texting issues I was having.

I found cricket to be like the ex girlfriend that you want to get back with, she was so good, and so steady, that you thought you want to try something else, but when one does, they realize the little things that they missed, but unlike the ex girlfriend, cricket will take you back. Cricket other than taking forever to release phones, has a really nice network, fast, reliable, and pretty much problem free. Plus the whole ld to canada is really nice if you have frienRAB there.

I never had any bad issues with Cricket. I just wanted to try something new. Cricket had it's growing pains and have gotten better over time with coverage and phone options. I expect the same from Boost. I used the PTT a few times and it's kinda nice. I wouldn't switch from Boost to Virgin. I'd have to pay extra for data with them.
