Cricket Text messaging problem?

Hello well i have the Samsung Messenger 2 backs the charging wouldnt work so i took it to cricket yesterday told them my problem i had to pay a $48 dollar fee to replace the phone so i did. I got the phone came home fully charged it activated it everything. My internet works and Calling out works, but when it comes to text when i try to send a message to anyone it says One or More Messages could not be sent. Also when I try to update the Widgets it says Registration Failed. and My Signal bar is always at 2 or 1 bar even if i move anywhere.. But the only time i can send a text is if I call someone and while im talkin to them go to Options~ Messages~ Send Message and then it will send without any problem.. but If i hang up and try to send a text it wont work i get this error " One or more messages could not be sent" or " Unable to Send"... I tried the *228 and the ##626* but that doesnt work.. Anyone knoe why?? I thought it was because it was a refurbish phone but its not cuz i went to Settings and Phone info and I went to Refurbish and it said Refurbish Counter= 0.. So anyone know why my phone doing this i cant send text messages only if im on the phone.. Why??
